the West: The Union Pacific Shop Has Opened for Business

The newest feature has been rolled out by publishers InnoGames for the free-to-play, Wild West-themed browser game, The West. The Union Pacific Shop gives players the chance to get some special items through new, challenging daily quests.

As previously mentioned in the Roadmap 2012 which was released not too long ago, the newest feature has been made available to players as of yesterday in the free-to-play MMORPG, The West. Features in this update include an activity reward system with an in-game shop (Union Pacific Shop) and other special items.

These special items, known as “buffs”, can be purchased from the Union Pacific Store with the new currency, Union Pacific Bonds. These buffs will give you a special advantage when taking part in duels or fort battles, in addition to raising your labor points and refilling your HP.

One way to get the new currency, Union Pacific Bonds, is to use the new activity reward system. This system will present you with a task list every day and will pay out each time you complete one of these tasks in The West game. Additional bonds can be granted for completing these tasks five days in a row.

InnoGames is bringing the worldwide, beer-soaked festival called Oktoberfest to the lands of Ancient Greece with their in-game Oktoberfest Event in the free-to-play strategy game, Grepolis. Get ready for all kinds of fun as thirsty inhabitants need their beer... 

 

As of now, players of the browser-based strategy game Grepolis can experience the fun and festivities of Oktoberfest. The event will challenge players to ensure that their thirsty inhabitants are well-supplied with beer, because we all know you can’t call it Oktoberfest without excessive amounts of the golden bubbly brew.

In order to complete this mighty task, you will have to collect hops and mugs. While mugs will be found floating around in the Aegean Sea, players will have to demand the hops from farm villages on their island.

Those dedicated brewers that keep their people happy with beer will be aptly rewarded. The rewards include additional resources, improved spells and fighting points. The best of the best can even earn 200 gold points and an additional culture point!
